A Stay with Some Disappointments
musty smell cracked tiles
My stay had issues. The room felt quite worn. A musty smell was present, and the bathroom showed signs of age. The shower head had a weak flow, and some tiles were cracked. I think a refresh could improve the experience.

historic charm grand entrance convenient location dated furniture old-fashioned bathroom high price
the hotel presents a historical classic experience. the foyer has a grand entrance. i found the location is near railway and bus stations.
the room i stayed in has dated furniture. the bathroom fixtures seem stuck in another era. i thought the price was a bit high for what it offered.

excellent size ample choice cosy atmosphere
my room had an excellent size. i found the buffet breakfast very satisfying with ample choice. i appreciated that the 4th floor restaurant offered a great service and also cosy atmosphere.

The breakfast buffet included fresh fruit and traditional dishes. an omelette chef. the restaurant on the top floor gives views of the harbour. This allows guests to see the city. prices seemed higher than street restaurants.

the hotel is close to port facilities. i found it conveniently located for short tuk-tuk rides to various attractions. the main railway station is accessible. the hotel's position in the city makes it an easy spot for exploration

varied selection harbour view
My room featured air conditioning. it included a kettle for making tea. Breakfast included a varied selection. I liked the restaurant views overlooking the harbour.

cute staff amazing history good service damp room expensive food old hotel
the front desk staff were cute and my room was away from the road. the hotel has amazing history and i saw the chekov suite. the restaurant on the 4th floor is cosy with good service.
the room was excessively damp and dark , proper lighting was absent. food was very expensive , variety was lacking.

friendly staff good wifi dated furniture old-fashioned bathroom
the room was massive all was working well the bed was good clean linen was provided i appreciated that the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to pettah market the staff were great and friendly good wifi was available
the refrigerator was not cleaned out the refrigerator did not work some updating in the room i stayed in is needed the furniture and decor felt dated the bathroom was particularly old-fashioned with fixtures and fittings that seemed stuck in another era

the location provided easy access to shops and the train station. the breakfast offered a wide variety. friendly staff helped me arrange airport pickup. it was very useful
